Roberta Bondar is a Canadian neurologist, researcher, and astronaut. She was the first Canadian woman and the first neurologist to travel into space. She also did crucial research as the head of a NASA medicine research team to find new connections with astronauts who were recovering from the difference in gravity, as well as studying neurological illnesses such as Parkinson's disease and stroke.
